Unclear kana renedered in (parentheses). ----- On 17th Dec 1990 vast number of crowds gathered up to a "Tokyo - Club quattro". The event was called "Manchester night" which was held to introduce the atmosphere of the British music club. The first man to appear on the stage was a well known DJ Paul Oakenfold who showed his brilliant talent in mixing for 1 hour and the crowds thoroughly enjoyed the show. Following this DJ came 4 men who represent Manchester for (not sure) dance creator :- 808 State. The equipment they had was all made in Japan ( Roland Synthesiser, Korg, Casio) and set of drums and turntables. The main character of this group, Martin Price absorbed the crowds well with his ( clear/sharp ) MC. Graham Massey played casio Midi Guitar & ordinary saxophone. A white rapper (without name, probably MC Tunes?) who is in charge of sound making of 808 State really excited the crowd with his powerful "machine gun rap" (so called). The show/concert barely lasted for 1 hour however the author of this article sees the show as a very successful one in a sense that crowds could confirm the hot image of the group unlike the cool image they make on record. Group members: Martin Price, Graham Massey, Andrew Barker, Darren Partington. The group originated in Manchester in '88 with a local record shop, Eastern Bloc as a headquarters. The debut album "Newbuild" used the Roland TR808 to the full, hence the name. Single: "Let Yourself Go" Mini-Album: "Quadrastate" (1989) Single: "Pacific" based on "Pacific State" (impressive sound of sax) The best known album "ninety" "The extended pleasure of dance" - single The latest single is "cubic/olympic" (1990) In august '90, "Quadrastate Vol 1.2" was supposed be released, but it never came out.
